Beyond Blindness is partnering with Moustaches for Kids (MFK), a remarkable organization that brings together a mustache “grower” community to raise funds and awareness for various charitable causes.

The MFK community, known as “growers”, will grow and display their ‘staches for 30 days to fundraise and share our cause with others. They have a mission to “change how men perceive charity, service, and what it means to give back to our community – one ‘stache at a time” and have successfully raised over $650,000 for their charity partners.

This year, Beyond Blindness competed and won against eight other non-profits to become their charity partner and benefit from their fundraising campaign. We were nominated by Brian Samaniego, a Beyond Blindness parent and ‘stache grower, whose son, Krew, receives services from us due to a rare genetic disorder. Witnessing the progress and care that Krew received from our staff, Brian encouraged us to compete for this incredible opportunity.

Watch Brain’s story below to learn more about his family’s journey and what it means to them to have found Beyond Blindness. For the next 30 days, Brian and  team are not only growing ‘staches, but also growing community, awareness, and inclusivity.
